The Acadiana Symphony Orchestra and Clare Cook Dance Theater present:

Firebird: Music Tells a Story

Saturday, October 18, 6:30 pm

Heymann Performing Arts Center

We're bringing the heat with our second Masterwork concert in the season of Fire with Firebird: Music Tells a Story! Originally composed by Stravinsky as a ballet score for Diaghilev's Ballet Russes in 1910, Firebird is once again turning tradition on its head as it is re-conceived through modern dance with original choreography by Clare Cook. Through this project we are crossing boundaries of artistic disciplines as well as geographical locations that include collaborations between professional NYC and Louisiana dancers as well as NYC costume designer, Liam O'Brien and Lafayette lighting designer, Tim Stark. This production marks the Clare Cook Dance Theater's Louisiana debut and we couldn't be more excited to share the stage with them. Please join us as two cities come together to bring to you a night of enchantment and ethereal beauty!

Student tickets available at the Heymann Center Box Office, $10!

Special Thanks to our generous sponsors:
